WHY HOT YOGA?

The benefits of hot yoga are endless and range from increased flexibility, toning, flushing of the toxins and increased mental health. The heat assists in loosening the muscles, driving deeper stretches and preventing injury. Precise temperature and humidity are affected by class size but are typically around 103F and 40 percent humidity.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

Water! Drink plenty before class, during class and after class. Hydration is important to ward off any possible dizzy spells and may be the difference between a good class and a great class! We offer the option of bringing your own mat and towel or renting one at the studio.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Anything you feel comfortable sweating in. Moisture wicking material is ideal, while mesh and venting options are also nice. Form fitting clothing will allow you to move more freely in postures while avoiding feeling sticky. We recommend steering clear of cotton and similar materials as they will absorb your sweat and weigh you down.

PREVENTING DEHYDRATION

Make sure that you are well hydrated before you take a class. Drink water as needed during the class. Once the class is over you will want to replenish all the water you sweat out.
